White Pine and Eucalyptus Vapor-rub

This all natural Vapor-rub in a solid push-up cardboard tube is made from a concentrated blend of essential oils and locally foraged forest ingredients. I sustainably gather Usnea that has blown off the trees on windy days during the winter months. I infuse this with White Pine needles and Yarrow in a castor oil base to form the foundation for this Vapor-rub. Antibiotic Usnea, also known as old man's beard, kills gram positive bacteria such as Streptococcus pneumoniae, Tuberculosis, and Listeria to name a few. It has a cooling, drying effect and works to drive dampness from the lungs. Anti-inflammatory Yarrow increases circulation and calms irritated tissues. Antimicrobial White Pine helps boost immunity and helps ward off colds. A concentrated blend of carefully chosen essential oils clears congestion and soothes bronchial passages. Mustard oil, a throwback to my grandmother's mustard poultices, breaks up congestion in the lungs. This solid rub is easy to use. Apply to chest, soles of feet, or beneath nostrils for topical use. You can also slice off a piece (width of a nickel) to dissolve in a bowl of hot water to use as a sinus steam. Drape a towel over your head to capture the steam and breathe deeply for a few minutes.
